Poured Out

This past weekend, my husband and I took a beautiful 4 hr drive, north west of Kelowna, to a small town called 108 Mile Ranch.
We spent the weekend ministering to an awesome leadership team and congregation at Cariboo Bethel Christian Fellowship. We have been going at least twice a year, to pour into this awesome local church.

Not only did we get to enjoy the beautiful drive through the mountains, but we got minister together and encourage His body.
Ministry is a lifestyle and I always find it interesting what God has in store for us each day, and how He wants to work through us.

I am reminded of the scripture in 2 Tim 4 that says,

But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. 6 For I am already being poured out like a drink offering,

Each of us are given unique opportunities to "pour out" the fragrance of Jesus through our lives. The possibilities are endless and He needs all of us to do our part.

Beautiful!! When called to a ministry, it is not "work" as in hard labor (though it may involve labor) "Our work" is a pleasure - an offering - willingly given and allowing it flow freely. We are "charged" by it rather than being drained.

Bless you and your ministry!!

What fun to take a beautiful ride with the one you love and then have the opportunity to minister together. I could think of no better way to spend my time.

I would take a 4hr plane ride in a heart beat, if flights were free!!

To think that God wants ME/US as a "drink offering"...are we refreshing to Him? Or comforting like Hot tea on a winter's morning? We think of drinking HIM in, but He wants to drink us in.....hmmmm...
