There Is A Light

My heart is in great anticipation for this year.

I have great hope in God directing my life. He loves to do that, and all I have to do is ask Him.

This little song has been resonating in my heart a lot in the last week. Like never before - we have a great opportunity to shine. My prayer is that we are so full of God's love, that His light shines brightly in and through us.

Words of Jesus from Matthew 5:14-16 (The Message)

You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world.
God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill.

If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you?

I'm putting you on a light stand. Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine!
Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

I'm with you. Kev shared on this topic this past Sunday... everyone I meet up with is in agreement. People are pumped and not scared - it's so awesome!!

I've thought of the theme for 2008 "new beginning" - at times I questioned God. Come fall I had an awakening and was reminded of the verse referring to a seed needing to fall to the ground and die in order to produce life.

2009 I anticipate "Life"!

Oh forgot to inquire about Lindsay (you'd mentioned tending to some major medical needs).
We heard from Matt on Christmas Day. After his call my kids recalled their "Matt Memories" - all good! :)
It's freezing here - too cold to even think of hot tubbing.
A sunshine destination is sounding great about now - Todd & Tammy are heading to Mexico next week.
Blessings

What a great reminder: to be a light - always, everywhere, no matter how we're feeling. Jesus' love through us... what a beautiful miracle.
